Outline of workshop

The increasing costs of waste disposal, water and energy use are forcing many businesses to consider how they can improve their resource efficiency. 70% of businesses in hotel and catering consider environmental issues to be a key priority for their business.

The London Development Agency, in partnership with Envirowise, is offering three free half day workshops for hotel and catering businesses in London. The workshops will provide practical advice that could help you to reduce your water, waste and energy by implementing no and low cost resource efficiency measures.

For example:

• Hotels that have already implemented simple changes have saved over £230 per room.

• Just two drops a second from a dripping tap can waste nearly 10,000 litres of water in a year.

• Fitting cistern volume adjusters to a toilet could save up to £35 per year.

Who should attend?

Delegates could be owners and managers of independent hotels and catering companies, as well as managers from hotels or companies that are part of a group or chain.
