Terms of Membership

  • Quality Assurance – In order to ensure a high quality of business support delivery in London, providers of Environmental Support Services (supplier-members) will be required to provide references and demonstrate a track record in delivering their services. In addition, organisations receiving support via the LESS Network will be asked to provide customer feedback to Business Link at either the end of each intervention or, if the engagement is long term, every 6 months.

  • Brokerage, partnership and collaboration – LESS seeks to promote transparency, collaboration and partnership across the network. LESS encourages referrals between its members and, to this end, if a supplier-member is unable to answer or resource a query from an organisation, they are encouraged to refer the organisation/query to another member of LESS who would be better able to assist.
  • Updating the LESS Website/Network details – Environmental support service providers who join the network will have a page/link on the members’ site setting out provider details and promoting their work, activities, services and events. Providers are requested to populate and keep this information up to date.  Providers will also have access to the discussion forum.
  • Provision of data – Providers joining LESS will be asked to submit information in a standard format detailing their activities and areas of service provision. This data will be used to help baseline environmental support activity in London. Supplier-members will also be encouraged to engage with the Enworks Resource Efficiency toolkit which will not only provide a management tool for you and your client businesses, but also assist funding organisations such as the LDA with a means to evaluate the overall impact of environmental business support interventions across London, thus helping to inform the future development of projects.
  • Use of LESS Branding – The LESS logo will be recognised across London and will be associated with a high quality service. Providers who join LESS will be encouraged to use the LESS logo (in accordance with its branding guidelines) on their promotional material and their website to ensure that this association is made. All members undertake to observe any guidelines issued regarding the use of the LESS brand.
