6. TeleconferencingTeleconferencing uses technology to allow communication with others using video and/or audio conferencing facilities. Telephone conferencing requires no additional equipment as most telecommunications service providers already have a conferencing service available to its customers. You simply need to book a session and distribute the relevant access numbers to those taking part in the conference call. Anyone can take part so long as they have access to a telephone. Contact your service provider for details of available services.    

      

Video conferencing takes advantage of, what is now, well-established technology like network connections, digital cameras and dedicated software. Some of the 'off the shelf' video conferencing technology you can purchase can be used as an alternative to travelling long distances to meetings, greatly increasing efficiency and productivity of staff. You also save on fuel or ticket costs.
